Cyberspace Food Cafe

By Kenesha Hylton, Foodie

In honor of Social Media Day, I’ve decided to talk about two of my favorite things: eating and social media. I like social media because it can give you up to the minute updates on about everything under the sun and I like eating because it brings pleasure to my senses.

This past weekend I was out and about with one of my girlfriends when we decided to go check out a few organic shops since we are both trying to eat healthier. Personally, I’ve also begun combing the city streets in search of everything organic is that I suffer from the skin disorder psoriasis. I’d love to not deal with it anymore so I hear going organic with almost everything might help. So here goes the experiment…

Food is so important, you’ve heard the saying that you are what you eat and it really is true. After doing the research, I’ve decided I’m going to start having apple cider vinegar cocktails … yes you heard right. Supposedly there are really great benefits to drinking an apple cider vinegar cocktail each day. To name a few, it helps lower high blood pressure/cholesterol, fights fatigue, obesity and psoriasis. So drink up!

To help me stay the course I have some great blogs to enlist … check them out:

Send me your comments.  Happy eating!

Tip of the Month

By Chrissy Gray, Event Planner

I’m keeping my post today short and sweet….

If you’re throwing a party, event, celebration – whatever you want to call it – for more than 50 people, ALWAYS hire an outside company to clean up the aftermath. It doesn’t matter how many volunteers you have to help you, or how quick you envision the clean-up to be, it never is. Trust me! I’ve done events with 50 people and events with thousands and the result is always the same: big mess, lots of worn out bodies. So save yourself (and your back!) the hassle and hire professionals. It’ll be money very well spent!
